Polytickin'

Modern Demockracy

Choose your brand of two faced lies,
Three beige parties the only prize,
Promises made for triumph denies,
Straight faced deceit they deem wise.
Change we demand, a break from regime,
They sleuth dogged answers supreme,
Guilt free words, from guilt free smiles,
Sate the masses, cover those miles,
To ask is to be promised the earth,
For them the cost one vote's worth,
With honesty just a perception of truth,
Demands of straight answers seen uncouth,
So raise up your child for those honeyed lips,
Accept the manifesto, fruit sans pips,
With no real choice of change, of contender,
No chance when here to return to sender,
With dire conclusions drawn what does it mean?
F*ck them all. I'm voting Green.

Pretty much sums up my political views :) Now I'm not really that political, so don't be expecting a mass amount of revolutionary rantings (though I do believe in a new world order, led by the New World Army, the Jedi are needed now more than ever) so peace down. And up. And out.

Two titles? Too much!

Message of Care

Dark clouds mass; rain falls all around,
People huddle under restructured ground,
Sneer at the weather with contempt, with despite,
Unfazed, the rain continues, giving no respite.

Can you not see this is life! Nature cries,
Nobody heeds the call; no body tries;
Unable to hear a language lost,
Comfort for people, whatever the cost.

Deeper the torrent each stream does grow,
Desperate the message it attempts to show;
Wrath upon this world could be lain,
The power to start anew is its gain.

Ignorance turns up the heat, closes the curtain,
We'll be fine; of this we're certain;
The last laugh is yet to be decided,
For nature, on this planet; has always resided.

I'm thinking that the poem (occasional short story) should be the focus of this blogg thus witterings have been relocated down this end of the bargain. Also I'm not always going to have crapola to say and this will make it much less obtrusive.

Some days I wish my heart would listen to my head. I'm weary today.

And now we Begin...

Right then, this should be more about the time a posting will arrive of a weekday and if at all on a weekend (It's a weekend yo!) but maybe if you're lucky!
Following some handy feedback (cheers :) I've tweaked the layout a wee bit, hope it reads clear and easy!
Right back to it, not all of my work is sweetness and lite but it should contain mild degrees of hope, you've been warned:-

Sanctuary

I built this house.
These walls wrought strong,
Forged and fired the steely door,
Laboured hard, laboured long.

Provisions sourced,
Store more than norm,
For my need to survive,
The perceived storm.

Sensing clouds looming,
I look around at bare walls,
No time for comforts,
Before the storm calls.

I feel the wind coming,
I shall know light no more,
I board the windows,
Lock and prop the door.

I shrink to a corner,
Languid with fear,
I imagine laughter,
The storm draws near.

The door starts to thud,
I thought it secure,
Too late for now,
I have to endure.

Delirium encroaches,
I stand to rave,
Only to flinch back,
At the storms fresh wave.

I stare at the door,
I see it crack,
Transfixed with terror,
With insanity I laugh back.

'I am here for you'
The storm has voice,
Such power of nature,
Do I have choice?

Questioning my action,
I hear my name,
Great strength is plumbed,
This storm I will tame.

I kick away the prop,
I steel my belief,
Cast open the door,
To shock, to relief.

'Come outside',
Say friends of mine,
Of the land, barefoot,
'The weather out is fine'.

Something lite to start methinks!

My first posting of my very own Blogg!
Not a little intimidating but I shall overcome those interpretations to unleash upon this world the inner workings of my mind. Being advised my some very good friends whom over the years have struggled to instil in me some superbly sound idea's. It took a good while for that advise to sink all the way in, but in it has sunk and my heartfelt thanks to all of you! I have somewhat of a back log so these should appear with some regularity until that dwindles and a more healthy pace is adopted. I hope whomever reads this enjoys it and do try to keep criticism constructive.
Right enough of the waffle and on with the show:-

Tea Time

Time for tea?
You must agree,
That there could not be,
A better beverage
Than tea.

From the moment it hits your lips
So smoothly, elegant it slips
It warms from deep inside,
Each cup a measure of pride
My love for each I cannot hide,
It's joy is spread worldwide.

The only problem that occurs to me,
Is that when the bottom I see,
I know my time is up
Alls I want is another cup,
So yes it is always time for tea.
